Benefits of being a Young Patron
There are some amazing benefits to being a Young Patron of The Rugby Portobello Trust. As well as knowing you’re supporting your local community of children and young people, helping them to have a fair chance at leading fulfilling lives free from crime and deprivation, there are also some great benefits to you.
YPC Socials
We’ll admit it, we’re a friendly bunch. We love nothing more than getting together with fellow Young Patrons for an chance to get to know our members and give you an opportunity to meet new friends and neighbours who are passionate about supporting the next generation.
YPC Socials take place every other month at a local pub, bar or venue and Young Patrons are welcome to bring a non-Patron to each social to give them an opportunity to learn more about the YPC.

Patrons Forums
Patrons Forums are held once a term and give Patrons and Young Patrons the opportunity to learn more about issues affecting our community, challenges we’re facing and pilot programmes we’re running.
Panel members could include RPT staff, volunteers or service users, as well as delivery partners or referral partners such as Social Services, local authority or the Youth Offending Team. Topics will always be timely and relevant – knife crime, children’s mental health amid the cost-of-living crisis, barriers to employment for young people – and will give you the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about our work.
Forums are generally held in the evening and each Patron is welcome to bring one non-Patron to each Forum.
Patrons Party
Our Patrons Party is quite simply a chance to celebrate the amazing impact of your support.
The annual event will be held at the start of each year and will include drinks, canapés and music and welcomes all members of our Patrons Programme and our Young Patrons Circle.

Christmas Party & Market
Our Christmas Drinks Party officially launches our November Christmas Market, a two-day event that kicks off the festive calendar in Notting Hill. Drinks and canapés are served throughout the evening while guests peruse stalls laden with gifts, treats and artisan crafts.
Patrons are given complimentary tickets to the Party and can re-use their tickets for the Christmas Market on the following day.
